Ode to my old BlackBerry
I miss my BlackBerry. . .
Man, I really miss my BlackBerry.
Many folks likely started their smartphone journey with an iPhone of some sort. I started my smartphone journey with the BlackBerry Tour.
The BlackBerry Tour was Verizon’s attempt at a device that was comparable to ATT’s BlackBerry Bold 9000. The Tour was a device that catered to the entrepreneur, the business elite. I liked to think of myself as an aspiring entrepreneur at that time.
The BlackBerry Tour was not the BlackBerry Bold 9000 that I wanted ever since I got one for my mother in 2009. The BlackBerry Tour tried to be the BlackBerry Bold 9000. I still enjoyed the BlackBerry Tour all the same. BlackBerry Tour was a sleek black device with a physical keyboard.
At that time, I was only about using physical keyboards. I had a ton of people who I talked to at the time. I was a busy person, with things to do. I attempted to establish the Tech Homie, and I had a lot to do. Using the BlackBerry Tour for business purposes made me happy.
The Tour wasn’t most amazing device that was around at that time. iPhones had been out for some time, we started to see the advent of Android phones coming to light, and BlackBerry spent their time burying their head in the sand. The phone wasn’t the high spec’d beast…
