On the Night After January 6th, 2021
The Night After the U.S. Descended into Chaos.
At this point, I would be surprised if you didn’t know about the mass chaos that occurred when pro-Trump supporters descended on the US Capitol yesterday, January 6th. I’m not going to go too deep into what happened because you’ve seen the news, no need to rehash that here.
What was supposed to be a generally benign day of certifying Joe Biden as the incoming 46th President of the United States, became a complete dumpster fire of a situation that was brought forward by the 45th President.
Whether you believe the vote was legitimate or the vote was fraudulent is beside the point. The Presidental Election was ridiculous, that was beyond obvious. The end of the line had finally arrived for contesting the November Election. The certification should have occurred without issue.
Who would have thought that people would actually go far enough to storm the Capital, break-in, and terrorize lawmakers? Why are we now wondering about the sensitive documents that are now potentially in the hands of thugs, rioters, and others? Why was there an avenue for pipe bombs and Molotov cocktails to be placed in the U.S. Capitol?
The 6th of January, 2021, will be forever etched in our memories as one of the darkest days in history.
